Oh... FFS, cheers!

"Could not start the repair service"? Eh?

Try running it in safe mode. Im guessing theres something like an antivirus program or something else in the background thats preventing the startup/repair. etc etc.

I got it now.

I just got to the logs file thinking it'll make a good read and was pleasantly surprised to find that I couldn't understand the gibberish in there. I am such a noob. My first time using power shell. Although I remembered how to change directories from school, lol.

Hi,
I run sfc/ scannow or sfc/ verifyonly using command prompt not power shell

But i add both to the right click context menu for easy access

Or on 11 add terminal as admin which defaults to power shell but can be switched to cmd

I've been admin now, lol. Now I'm trying to partition a drive. I thought I knew about computers! I'm surprised I can turn one on now.... :banghead:

Ta very much, back in a minute...

Sorted, got me a partition! Now got to copy my boot drive and then start fucking about with memory timings.

You can partition a drive with built in Disk Management tools.

I did it with ThrashZone's program. Even I could understand it!

Hi,
I wouldn't use power shell for disk alterations either
Command prompt once again but minitool is 1000000x easier.

Caveman friendly is why I use it too

Ugg.

So I'm in Macrium Reflect, what do I do next? No messing about either, I'm highly trained!

Hi,
Look at your other thread
I posted an image to add the recovery option to boot menu.

Reflect asked you if you wanted to download the winpe so that is a Big Yes

I would run the restore health first.
Code:
dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth

You can check the health, but usually I just skip this step and go straight to restorehealth and then run after the restore health has finished.
Code:
sfc /scannow

Here is just the check health command
Code:
dism /online /cleanup-image /scanhealth

Other thread, GO!!!!

P.S. I've had WAY too much caffeine today.

You lot have big brains...

Umm...

Hi,
Do not use power shell
Use command prompt as admin instead

One line at a time

Code:
sfc /scannow

DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /AnalyzeComponentStore

DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /StartComponentCleanup

DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /CheckHealth

DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth

DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

doing sfc /scannow

Didn't find any integrity violations.

erm

Hi,
No good for cavemen
But copy and paste works well

Really just right clicking pastes automatically just hit enter after it shows up.
