maybe I was at these sites but cant even remember. not recently anyway. on my pc, I block all cookies except a select few and need to block these to.

using ff. why are they coming back if I havent visited the sites recently and deleting them over and over?

Some relate to disk tools, running these programs is probably resulting in them automatically connecting with websites that set cookies. The reason for this could include checking for program updates.

One of them is AOMEI, a supplier of disk backup and partition tools. Some are free, some require payment. Is there any sign of them in Windows Control Panel->Programs and Features, or in folders on your hard drive?

AOMEI acknowledge that use of their products will generate cookies, this is their list

abackup.com
anyviewer.com
aomei.de
aomei.fr
aomei.jp
aomeikeji.com
aomeitech.com
cbackup.com
dians.net
dianshouit.com
diskpart.com
disktool.cn
disktool.com
fonetool.com
multclouc.com
ubackup.com
winfr.com.cn
winfr.org

And this is why they say they are set "...When you install the AOMEI software and participate in the user experience, it will upload some data, such as whether the installation was successful, the system version installed, the frequency of software usage, which operations were used, and whether the operations were successful. But please rest assured that no personal data will be collected here. The process of uploading this data generated these cookies. Please rest assured that these cookies will not have any impact on your computer."

Hi,
Yeah check your apps list again.

You don't want to block them, you want to stop the program or programs that are putting them there.

I agree with TZ - check not just your installed apps, but those starting with Windows. Check too your browser add-ons/extensions.

FWIW, I don't see any in your list that alarm me, in terms of security.

I think in the past I have installed some aomei software. some partition or backup or clone program. didnt work from what I remember. its not in my list of programs installed. I now use clonezilla. also, the samsung migration tool is trash.

I blocked all the cookies individually. went through registry and removed anything with aomei in it.

its not in ff. thats very well configured with about:config. script blockers etc.

thanks friends youre always an intellectual sharp bunch.

Hi,
Yeah clonezilla is okay

If you want a single app that does that plus backup/ recovery winpe/ partition/.... stuff to look into disk genius free
https://www.diskgenius.com/free.php

Aomei backup tools work fine especially in the paid version.
There is absolute no proof of malicous behaviour from this tools company
FF is currently for me not an option anymore FF show me constant ads and not wanted messages
And yes i am pretty paranoid about cookies also, tend to block almost all from any company
I actually do not want them at all but the cooky hell is unstoppable
Many site blocks access if you do not allow cookies as they are giving them pretty good income with that crap
Even M$ spies on you massive as it generates more income and believe me they look at everything you do and all is send to M$ without your knowledge.
The only solution is switching to crappy linux ... ;)
Which to me is impossible as a gamer, linux suxxx so bad with all my games, more than 95 % fails to run on it or crashes or starts whining about whatever.
The time i was running both has passed as linux shows no improvement towards gaming, and to be honest i got sick and tired of putting my passwords in for everything you do.
Sure it is safer and can run steady but not for what i want todo.
