this little white bar, date/time area. how can i set that so it auto-hides while i am browsing in Brave browser? it is taking away precious vertical space from me, same as in firefox. :(

Try a different desktop. I don't think this is an issue with Cinnamon or KDE.

I've always preferred KDE but be aware even it isn't identical to windows, just more in that line of thought. Certainly more "desktop" styled.

as far as i am aware this new Ubuntu beta build that just came out a few days ago, is not available in other flavors yet. I will have to just live with going into full screen mode for now, which isn't that big of a deal honestly. I don't mind doing it.

i'm really happy with this latest ubuntu build, everything is working great

Yeah if there isn't a Kubuntu respin just wait and do an upgrade maybe when it comes out? Annoying but far less annoying than windows some days IMO, heh.

i did a clean install of windows 11 a few days ago on this laptop, fresh usb drive direct from M$ website... it was the worst experience of my life, OMFG so much bloat slowing down my laptop... it was just sad... ubuntu is so fast and clean in comparison.

i would do windows 10 again, but yeah... might as well not bother at this point and ubuntu is doing everything i need, so no big deal
