How do I pillage dead bodies for bombs when playing dark souls 3?

So being stuck at the first boss for a while.
After watching a play through on YouTube
I realised I needed firebombs to defeat it.
How do I get them?

There's supposed to be 5 of them down on a small path to the right of the path to the boss. None of the enemies there drop firebombs so you'll have to make do with 5.

My advice is to you is only to use firebombs when Gundyr lets out its pus of man since he'll get momentarily stunned when hit with fire element attacks at that phase.

The trick to Gundyr's second phase is to position yourself on his back, since most of his attacks will only sweep the front. If you're dead set on starting over then maybe the pyromancer class would make the fight easier .

Boss fights in Dark souls is all about waiting for a open to strike,they will always loop the same moves ,strike 2-3 times at most and then roll back and dodge,wait for open and then strike 2-3 times repeat and before you know it you have beaten the boss.

If you have a shield try to parry some of the first phase attacks .

Wondered that myself but Dark souls didn't hit into the PC market until few years later which is probably why. Jumping from Nioh back to Dark souls 3 to play the expansion is a real shocker to the framerate difference on the PS4 lol.
Parry is always a gamble against bosses but can work well when timed right but i always stuck to rolling and rolling until a opportunity pops up to land 2-3 hits.
