Hello guys,
My friend's computer has been infected by virus very badly. It won't even let the win. xp (pre-installed on the computer) load properly. I tried to run command prompt but it won't let it. Now I have no option left other than to format his Hard drive and install new win. xp.
I have 2 GB USB.
Please someone help me create a bootable USB (that boots with command prompt) so that I can install downloaded WIN. XP S3 on his computer.

Any comments or suggestions of this kind'd be appreciated.

cheers,
xhunter.

I don't think you can fit WinXP on a 2gb flash drive. Look around this forum, Mussles made a guide about how to make a bootable USB drive.

Why not use the disc to reinstall? No need for a USB unless your CDRom drive's jacked.

you're not going to be able to install xp with a 2GB usb drive. its too small
you or your friend is gonna have to shell out the little bit of cash for a bigger usb or a new cd drive...neither of which is expensive(read cheap) just a quck search of newegg pulled up a whole page of cd drives for under $20

I am not looking to boot win xp from my USB, all I want is to boot MS DOS from my USB drive and with the help of MS DOS install win xp into his hard drive.
