I am trying to install a new 300GB WD Velociraptor in my nephews PC which I built about a year ago with 2 WD Raptor 36GB drives in RAID 0. I am replacing the RAID drives with the one drive and disabling RAID in BIOS but it is not letting me boot to anything but the Nvidia RAID boot loader. The board is an XFX 780i Nforce. What is the best way to do this? I have an Acronis backup of his OS and files which is Win Vista 32 on a separate drive on the second SATA controller and all drives are seen in the BIOS. It seems I cant stop the Nvidia boot loader from loading even with RAID disabled. I try to boot to my Acronis boot cd but it just tells me that Nvidia boot loader is already there and wont let me boot to the cd. I am trying to install the new drive without dumping his old files. Info is appreciated. Thanks.
