How to disable Hyper-V in Windows 11 Guide

Every time I install a new OS, I have to hunt for the guide to disable Hyper-V. Mainly because AIDA64 says its enabled even after disabling it in windows features.

So many guides on a bunch of Powrshell and other Regedit that does not work.

There's a quicker way to do this, just hit the windows key > type "Hyper-V"a and then hit enter. This will bring up the windows feature dialog where you can uncheck hyper-v

That's what I'm talking about. That doesn't work. For me it's already unchecked. But still is enabled until I do a regedit

Interesting. Do you also get the logs in the event viewer under "Applications and Services Logs > Microsoft > Hyper-V-Hypervisor"?

Seem like you may have stumbled upon a bug.

Just disable SVM in the bios/UEFI.
MS will never be able to activate it again against your will as long as it is deactivated.

Seem like you may have stumbled upon a bug.

I bug that has been around since Win 11 lol. That why I made this post. Every single time I install Windows 11, It see it says "A hypervisor has been detected. Features required for Hyper-V will not be displayed." and AIDA64 says its still enabled. I did all the normal steps to disable, but only this specific regedit works.

This is a solution as well, but unfortunately for me, I clear the CMOS all the time so it is a time sink.
