I always seem to have badluck when it come's to electronics. I've got a stuck pixel on my new laptop (had it for about 2-3 weeks) and yeah, it is very annoying as most of you would know. I've tried to apply some pressure and rub around it with a damp cloth, I've been running those unstick pixel videos only for a short amount of time (10 mins tops), apparently you need to run those for a few hours. And next I might try applying like a hot towel in a bag to the screen to get the liquid flowing to the stuck pixel. I don't think I can send it in for warranty on ONE stuck pixel can I?

I had an issue like that before on my previous 22" Samsung monitor. It lasted about 2 months and it just disappeared. Lucky for me it wasn't in the middle, it was close to the top right corner of the screen so it never really bothered me that much.

I doubt it. If it's like LCD warranties, they want >8 or 10 pixels to be dead or stuck before doing something about it.

Try doing the hot towel and pressure method but with this running behind it.

Yeah my monitor is about 3-4 year old now. I had about 2-3 stuck pixels that disappeared in time. I tried some software that cycles through different colors and the pressure method as well but it didn't seem to help so I left it alone and they disappeared in time.

I get those all the time on my Samsung 220p and the way i do it is i press down on the stuck pixel with my finger and while its pressed i turn my monitor off and on and it always fixes it.

I opened the thread and posted half an hour later. At least 2 of us can use google :p

True, but I actually didn't google it. I was already aware of the app since my mother has a 22" display with a blue and green pixel stuck on the same pixel, so she always has a nice teal dot in the middle of her screen. All methods to get rid of it have failed. :(

Hopefully the Op's luck with be a bit better than mine. :)

Use a pencil eraser and massage the area, sometimes doing this will fix a stuck pixel.
