How to have correct output for gaming (Dolby, DTS,?) on a SEGA ALLS (Japanese Arcade)

Hey folks,

I'm trying to run pc games on a SEGA Arcade Machine (An Initial D Zero cabinet).

It uses a normal Gigabyte Motherboard with 3 analogic connections.
Front (2 speakers), rear (2 speakers) and c/w (a subwoofer).

When I first plugged the cables, nothing worked because the jacks were recognized as microphone so I installed Realtek 2.82 to make a propre setup.

But it still isn't perfect.

What I've done at the moment is that I use the 5.1 setup in Realtek, removing the central speaker.

This works great on most Sega racing games that have the same layout as my cabinet, but it's awful on most Computer Games. The main reason is, that it sends the central channel to my subwoofer, but also that on most of the games I get 0 bass and only sound from the front speakers.

Because yeah, those cabinets don't have a 5.1 setup, they have a 4.1!

And after hours trying to find a solution, I've arrived to the point that I just don't know what to do anymore.

I learned on the last few days about Dolby drivers etc, but don't know if what I'm doing is correct because I don't think it would solve the issue of the central channel.

Any advice? Thanks in advance for any help!

-- Right so we talking analogue out, you can rule out needing DTS-Dolby, as its not SPDIF.

-- Ok so you have set as 4.1, that is correct.

-- You need an upmixer that will crossover LFE (bass) to the .1 channel (bass) from stereo, and also upmix the stereo to 4 channels. Else set the game to 5.1, if it supports 5.1.
-- If you play a game that only plays stereo audio (left-right), then the bass and rear channels will have no audio. I guess the Sega games are already 4.1.
