I cloned my 512gb SSD onto a 2tb SSD to use as my boot drive and it's all gone off without a hitch, however, I can't merge my existing storage space (C:) with the huge amount of unallocated extra space and I don't want to keep them as separate partitions. Windows has, per this picture, put a couple of small partitions between them which I can't seem to move, and won't let me expand (C:) if they aren't sitting next to one another.

I tried EaseUS for moving the partitions and, while it can do it, they want me to pay for the privilege. Given that I'm only doing this once, I refuse to do so.

Are there any decent free (and safe) software that I can use for this purpose?

EDIT: NIUBI partition manager managed to do it for free.

Is there any chance you could install Linux on a separate drive? The KDE Partition manager would do the job for you.

Or what if you clone your old SSD again, but with manual partition allocation this time?

I did end up finally getting a free tool that let me do what I wanted. And I'm a lifelong windows user, I don't have the first clue about making any use of Linux whatsoever

It's not that difficult. The KDE desktop is basically 90% the same experience as using Windows. But I'm glad you managed to sort it out. :)

What program did you find in the end?

NIUBI partition manager. Took a bit of figuring out how to "move" the partitions, as the program wasn't really very intuitive in how to do so, but once I figured it out it was all one & done in 5 minutes. Didn't have to pay anything either, and I don't have any pop-ups on the desktop advertising hot single moms in my area, so I should be good on the malware side too

Also I think you misunderstand, Linux scares me on some deep level, as if I was the spawn of bill gates himself. Which would be nice, because trust fund n all that, but not to be.
