How to oil my CPU fan?

I have an Intel i7-920 with a stock cooler. The fan has started to get fairly noisy so I took it off to oil it as I have done before with case fans.

Apparently, this fan does not have the normal plug/sticker on the back where I would normally oil it.

Does anyone know if I can add oil somehow? I had seen some people mention drilling or melting a small hole. From the looks of it the position on this fan is opposite of case fans so I would have to enter from the top/face of the fan rather than the backside.

Any advice?

first make sure its from drying axis, not from unbalance fan. you may take off the sticker and clean up it then drop one or two oil on that

My problem is that there is no oil hole beneath the sticker like there usually is...I think the only way in would be to drill a small hole.

try to steer the fan and hear the sound, does it from dry oil or unbalance fan
or maybe the fan not designed to get add on lubrication

some people would drill it but i dont recommend it since the debris may make it worse

Just replace it. Its not worth the trouble, Its most likely wore out

since it's stock... you could just find a replacement fan (either someone's spare or cheap new)

i would just get a 3rd party cooler, even a cheap $20 one probably will be better than intel's

replacing it would be easier since you can find it in local shop
