How to upgrade Intel Matrix Storage Manager?

I decide to upgrade my Intel Matrix Storage Manager?. However, I could not uninstall the old version in vista. When I tried, it just says "system is using this driver to regulate your HDD, you cannot uninstall it".

Any way to do it?
 
I dunno bout this one, but try in safe mode?

I just installed the new version over the old. Worked fine...
 
Really? I always prefer clean install. Well, I will do more research before I take action.
 
Try safe mode first. Most likely, the Matrix monitoring application is running so it can't be removed. Safe mode won't launch the Matrix app so you can remove it. The only other thing you could do is find the process running via Task Manager and terminate it; however, safe mode is the better choice.
 
successfully upgraded. i just cover the older version. I still could not delete it in safe mode. lol
