So is there any one that know any thing at all about HT voltage what does it do any thing at all ?

I would like to know what I can set it to for my Q6600 and will it give stability if set higher things like that .

I thought HT voltage was HyperTransport voltage, which only AMD processors use ( same as FSB for intel)?

yes, Hyper Transport is only for AMD.

May he means Hyper Threading? If so its not available on Core series CPUs.

Strange there is a voltage setting in the BIOS OF my Intel system for HT Voltage so what is that about ?

So that's it ? nothing more than that ?

Honestly I don't know why it would be there... so I am about as useful as a dwarf on a basketball team

i dont what else to tell you. Does your board manual mention anything about this? May be this setting is for Pentium 4s that support Hyper-Threading? I think there were socket 775 P4s that do. But if it is, it should be grayed out as it doesnt apply to q6600

Yeah one would think this to be the case but as it was on the evga 680i mobo as well as this one there has to be some thing to it one would think .

Actually if there is a setting to control HT voltage, there should also be others. I never owned a CPU with HT but i believe there should be an option to turn it off/on as well. Do you see anything like that or other settings pertaining to HT?
