Kingston's HyperX Predator series of DDR4 RGB memory takes the traditional HyperX treatment to DDR4 and adds RGB, the HyperX way. These enthusiast-grade DDR4 DIMMs feature a pretty decent CL15 timing at their rated 2933 MHz speed, so not only do they look good, they offer low latency, too.

Shame your performance testing is just running a bunch of synthetics. Should've done more real world testing.

The good:

This is a much better memory review than the last one we had a fight about. It's more detailed, it explains concepts that people need to know, it doesn't shy away from explaining the nitty gritty and so on. This is all good stuff. I COULD take issue with the fact the Hynix ICs are only mentioned in your screenshot, and not in the article itself, but frankly, they *are* mentioned and that's a step in the right direction. I can also understand that if you're attempting to keep the article approachable, you might not want to go into detail on those Hynix ICs and what they mean, if you're already writing something in depth.

Also very good that this line was included:

"I had zero problems reaching 3600 MHz with this particular set of sticks when looking at overclocking on both AMD and Intel, so there is a decent amount of headroom with these sticks I have, but you may not reach those clocks exactly, though you will most likely be able to get close. "

Perhaps worth putting that prior to the conclusion though - it's a bit weird to explain the overclocking *after* that point.

Yeah, but what CL did 3600 require ? The other review (the one I linked results to) said they could hit 3400MHz with CL16 or 3200 with CL15.

I'd expect 3200MHz @15CL.
I won't even look at Sticks under 3000 now for a future build.

The'yre quad channel so they easily go past dual channel 3400 sticks.

We've done lots already here:

That review already establishes what clocks you should be looking for. The synthetics are simply a way for you to compare to the linked article above which very cleanly shows what's most optimal for this platform with our testing. So, I am approaching all memory reviews right now with these performance metrics all in hand. Memory kits are seeking to meet our tested conclusions for optimal performance that I have been talking about in the forums for a couple of years now... just now W1zz went and made the results that confirm what I was saying already. :P

18-19-19-39 @ 1.35V. I did see other review results are different than mine, and hence my suggestion that OC results may differ. i think we'll see many kits @ 18-20-20 and 19-19-19 based on how I see this IC scaling.

I'd expect 3200MHz @15CL.
I won't even look at Sticks under 3000 now for a future build.
Considering that's what our platform memory analysis suggests, I'd be very upset if you considered anything else, although 3200 C14 or C13 would be even better, and should be available.

Not writing my reviews for the vocal minority. :kookoo: This review was pretty much done BEFORE the last one that was posted, so your ideas as to what takes place when I do a review is mildly entertaining to say the least. Chew on that for a bit... :p

And at what point did I say anything that refers to your process? I simply commented that this review is much better than the trash fire that was the previous one.

If anything it's all the more strange that, having written this review in advance, you mysteriously forgot how to write anything of quality or substance while rushing the other one out the door.

But don't worry, I certainly wouldn't expect you to have suddenly become capable of respecting the consumer. You've already demonstrated in great detail your disdain for the idea.
The fact of the matter is that you do not objectify all consumers... but go ahead and keep thinking that, because I do enjoy the entertainment, as I already mentioned.

For some of my readers, these reviews are a continuing conversation that has spanned several years. Of course, when you interrupt in the middle, you miss part of the conversation and have to catch up. When YOU do, we'll all still be here. :p We've got about 6 more reviews waiting to be published... and I'm on summer break now. Me and my four kids are gonna go on a hike today up a mountain, should be fun.

Oh dear oh dear, a cloying, sickly response worthy of Martin Shkreli. And here I deliberately avoided being overly contentious in my original comment, not wishing to be a complete dick for no reason.

The only entertaining thing here is your ability to see no difference between writing this review and writing the other, despite the dramatic differences in length, detail, and even basic explanation between the two.

Frankly, if this review continues to be the standard I'll have nothing to complain about except your abhorrent personality, but I expect to be disappointed in short order - the other review simply made far too many suggestive movements in the direction of your personal interest.

Hmm, personal interest.... yet here you are expressing yours, with a bit of attempted character assassination. Psychological assessments aside, have four teenage kids does keep me firmly planted in a land where making new enthusiasts and appealing to their needs is prudent. Insisting that your way is the only right way is awesome, and does me so much good that you have no idea! Thanks! I'm going to go play with some of these kits while my kids get their breakfast eaten! I got this new kit yesterday... Enjoy!

lol, that'd be true

if you weren't testing GPU bound scenes on an 8700K. Frankly, what location did you choose for that test. Cause it's just impossible you tested the CPU heavy parts of Novigrad

https://www.purepc.pl/pamieci_ram/test_pamieci_ddr4_2133_3600_mhz_na_intel_core_i5_8600k?page=0,11

Dropping the resolution down to 720p means nothing if you did it in a place that still manages to utilize +95% of the GPU.

I have these on an ASUS C6H with a 1700X, had to update to the latest bios for consistent performance. Works much better now.

Try to 14-16-16-35-51(everything else on AUTO ) , Voltage : 1.36v , mine is G.Skill Ripjaws V Black (F4-3200C16-8GVKB , 16-18-18-38-56). both yours and mine are Hynix M-die , Single Rank

Hmm, that's an interesting thought, but my sticks would not boot @ 3200 16-16-16, but work fine @ 16-18-18. I could also run 3600 @ 19-19-19.
