Hello everybody I want to ask which video card is better (about noise, temperature, and FPS) the GIGABYTE GTX 750 ti black edition (with 1163Mhz)? or GIGABYTE GTX 750 ti (with 1033Mhz)?
What does give the bigger Mhz for GTX 750 ti black edition?
Hellp me please, thanks very much :)

Hello,

A higher clock frequency usually directly results in more FPS within gaming, however, you can often just overclock it yourself for better results, especially if you happen to be lucky in the silicon lottery and get a good overclocker. If you're not confident in overclocking a GPU, just go for the one with the higher clock speed, as it shouldn't really affect the thermals or noise performances.

The higher the clock speed the more performance you get. The black edition is a better binned card with higher clocks and overclocking range which should provide a better gaming experience.

But how about temperature and noise it is bigger than stock card?
I know that stock gtx 750 ti temperature maximum is about 54 C degrees, and it speads just about 39 db sound.
About Gigabyte gtx 750 ti black is a little information can be found.

Will not be by much if any, they are the same cooler and the 750ti uses such little power in the end that overclocking does not raise the temps to bad with the aftermarket coolers. You probably would not notice any difference in sound between them and maybe a degree or 2 difference.

So you think that black edition is slightly better than stock card.

You should not have a problem with noise or heat with a 750ti. I have two of them. I have them overclocked to 1250mhz right now with the evga stock cooler. They stay about 60c which is way under the safe temperature range for these cards. Not only that, but it runs quieter than my case fans only spinning up to ~50%. I do not perceive noise issues with the fan speed till 60% for which I had to set the fan speed manually to that. If noise were a problem I could set the fan curve myself and have the cards run hotter but quieter, but I really do not see the need.

The black edition is the faster card stock if that is what you value. Personally I would buy the cheaper card and overclock it myself but I overclock.

Thank you very much. I see you much konw about this card. So can you give me much information about black edition, if that card have any cons, minuses, bad features. Can you know about the emmited sound in decibels (of black edition)? Can you show to me any noise tests of black edition?

There really is not a bad feature about the card in general that would hurt it compared to other 750ti's. The sound is pretty darn quiet and does not require much effort to cool so you probably won't notice anything.

I don't know about that card specifically. I just did a 3 second google search and here is the only review on the first page. http://www.ocaholic.co.uk/modules/smartsection/item.php?itemid=1378&lang=english

If that doesn't help you, I just looked at tpu reviews for 750ti's which I highly doubt the gigabyte will be much louder than any of these.

Please note that the dBA scale is not linear but logarithmic. 40 dBA is not twice as loud as 20 dBA, as a 3 dBA increase results in double the sound pressure. The human hearing perception is a bit different, and it is generally accepted that a 10 dBA increase doubles the perceived sound level. 3D load noise levels were tested with a stressful game, not with Furmark.

Again I will say, I have stock cooled 750ti's. The black edition has two fans compared to my one fan, a bigger heatsink, meaning it can cool more effectively meaning the fans can run slower. Slower fans are quiet fans. I have mine overclocked to 1250mhz which is much higher than the black edition card and they still are very very quiet. I highly doubt you will have much issue with them being loud no matter what you do.

If for some reason you get one and you perceive it to be loud, come back to TPU and make a thread. We will help you figure out a way to make it quieter if it is possible.
