hey, i need a watercooling kit. A GOOD ONE! im looking to spend no more than $250. i need a cpu/vga/northbridge type of cooling. i need some prices and names guys. thanks a lot.

those new "stingray STG-100" (or something to that effect... cant really remember now... just woke up... hehe...) kits that vantec have are supposed to be quite nice...
includes EVERYTHING. universal CPU block, universal VGA block, universal northbridge and southbridge blocks.
loads of tubing and coolant. a decent pump and rad.
should go for around 200$ i think...

cpu; amd xp 3000+ socket 462, vga: ati all in wonder 9800 pro

Hi,

first, I think you should determine why you want water cooling. There are several possibilities:
1) You want a high overclock
2) You want a silent system
3) You want your PC to look cool (etc...)

Looking at your PC's specs, I think it would be wiser to spend the money on a PC hardware upgrade, instead of watercooling

here is the problem. when i play battlefield 2, about an hour into the game i will get this horrible skipping problem which i think is due to heat. heat is my enemy and i guess everyone's too. im looking for a pretty silent system, im also planning on doing some ocing. nothing huge but just a lil like from 2.16ghz to maybe 2.3 or so... i have some ideas but im not sure...
a)Titan Bianca
b)Evercool WC-202
c)Vantec Stingray All-in-one Water Cooling Kit STG-100 (bit expansive)
d)Kingwin AquaStar AS-3000
e)Titan NIKITA TWC-A04

please let me know if these are any good. o like the evercool because its the cheapest in price of all but will the quality of it be the same? i read that stingray is probably the best way to go but i dont wanna spend an extra $100 for stuff i dont need. please tell me whats best for me. thanks

im probably going to get dual channel 2gb ram. will that help? how is my graphics card? processor? you think i should sell mine for parts and build a new one? i have $500 right now and this computer. how much you think mine is worth right now?

yes spending money on water cooling that system dosnt seem a good use of it.. a better grfx card would do it a lot more good.. still whatever rocks our boat....??

what card do u recomend? also how is my processor?

when i purchased my system, everything you have was in competition with my hardware...

as of this summer, my computer will be obsolete in my eyes... I'm going to get an all new mobo, cpu, psu, and video card... how old is your system?

I think the AMD Athlon XP - Pentium4 478 'C'/'E' age is nearing its end...

if you can, upgrade hardware before watercooling... i find an XP-90c to be more than plenty of cooling for my system, i have some nice silent fans on there when turned down, and a fan controller to flip for when i wanna play games. heat is most likely not your enemy in BF2, RAM is, as is in F.E.A.R.

1gb of ram in fear is not enough, 2gb brings my system up to an 'ok' level playability. upgrade your hardware, wait for AM3 sockets to come out if you continue to plan on going with AMD though... those should be some mad crazy cpu's :-)

so yea, to summarize my speech, upgrade hardware, mainly cpu/ram/video card. have fun with bf2, its a great game :-)

If you're in for a bugdet system, I'd go for the following:
AMD Opteron 144
DFI Lanparty nF4 series (probably Ultra version)
1GB of memory will be OK from the start
Sapphire GTO2 or Nvidia 6800GS
SATA HDD
Case and PSU

your cpu is okay.. another card will give double the performance u now have.. i think a 7800gs or 6800gs would be the card to buy.. it will give u another year of gaming then its time to replace the lot..

u could replace the lot now.. or u could give it another year from a better agp card its up to u.. just dont waste money on water cooling the one u have..
