Today Intel and AMD are making their own chipsets. But there was a time that 3rd party companies made chipsets for them.
VIA is an example of this. Made chipsets for both Intel/AMD.
nVidia used to made chipsets for AMD CPUs before the latter acquired ATi and for Intel CPUs too.
ATi was also making chipsets for AMD and Intel.

You must use the display cable on the video card, not plugged into the motherboard.

If you have the display cable on the motherboard, it will always use the integrated graphics. Without the driver installed, it will read VIAp4m890, which is the NB chipset.

The integrated graphics is S3 Graphics UniChrome Pro IGP and is not NVidia or ATI, but a 3rd party GPU. I had one (S3 dedicated), and found it extremely difficult to run on W10.

Also, in the bios, you may have to set the dedicated GPU as default for the 8400gs to work.

GL.
