Pretty good for a prosumer GPU. Not so sure about the price though.

The performance gap is larger from 1080 -> 1080 Ti than 1080 Ti -> Titan V

Titan V shines in Superposition 1080P no doubt.

CPU was a 6700K. This Titan V may be bottle necked in these synthetic benchmarks.

A guy can afford a Titan V next day shipping, but can only afford a 6700K for benchmark. Wow

Remove a few cores, get rid of the AI cores, boost clocks add GDDR6 and you have the next GTX 2080. Which will beat this in gaming.

I don't think he got the card specifically for gaming.

Seems a bit meh considering the cost. But I guess gaming isn't all the Titan V is really designed for so....

Pretty much. I can't even be mad at this as a product. Better then the current flag ship in games. Thousands cheaper then Quadros with similar specs. Has the hardware capability to do machine learning if you fancy a lab experiment.

The only people that are going to cry about it are gamers. Professionals spend more then this on rendering cards and AI people have hundreds of grand into lab equipment so this is nothing.

I believe it will only be the gaming community that somehow feels they are entitled to the performance this card brings for a marginal sum above what most already consider the "too expensive" 1080TI

6700k is gaming CPU. For production or workstation I expect at least a 5820K ir 6800K

Again, stop positioning Titan V as a gaming product or comparing it as such. It makes no sense at all, and mostly is a sign of sheep behavior because some leaks come out. This card will never get a re-release in the same shape as a gaming big chip, it'll be cut down in several ways. The tensor cores alone tell you this and the HBM2 should reinforce it further.

Titan Xp did NOT carry HBM, did NOT carry Tensor cores and all it really took from the GP100 is the CUDA core count.

This Titan V is similar to a full GP100 - no body used GP100 for gaming comparisons. Also I'm not sure what Vega has to do with any of this...

So it's 20% (and under) faster than a 1080ti (Not even the Titan Xp which is slightly faster). So pretty underwhelming ,but then again this wasn't meant to blow out of water any of these cards in terms of gaming.

People are reporting impressive clocks with these things too, but yeah huge amounts of the die essentially have no bearing in these tests.

You've basically got those Tensor cores and another 2560 FP64 cores twiddling their thumbs here. :p

6700K is just a CPU. Your expectations that every workstation should have an expensive CPU is somehow unrealistic. 6700K does the job beautifully. Even weaker models do.
