This is a bit of a longshot but..

Im looking for the caddy/SATA adapter for the second space on a Dell Inspiron 1720 laptop. I can get them locally, but cannot afford to spend $50 when the drive itself was $60.

The are on the Dell USA website for $10, and I cannot get them on the local dell AUS site.

Part numbers are C7586 and XK231. In not sure on whether or not Part number C7586 includes XK231, or whether you gotta buy em both.

Postage to AUS should be like $5 in a padded envelope.

If you have one you can get for cheap and send, it will be greatly appreciated :D (even if you want to make a bit of money on it, IDC, as long as its not too expensive!)

Dude-I have an extra caddy for an Inspiron 6000 that I used to own, if it is compatible what your lappy you can have it and just pay shipping.
