Kinda hilarious when one of the best air coolers money can buy is questionable whether it can cool an upper mid range cpu. Personally i'd go the D15. All my machines atm have AIO's or full custom loops and they're all a huge pain in the ass. Yes theres a noise benefit but when something stops working like an aio pump or what not its a huge pain in the ass

@nguyen what cooler is on yours? seems like a relatively modest tower air cooler. Doesn't seem to hard to keep cool at all for gaming, but if ppl play cinebench all day I'm sure it gets toasty.

From what I have seen the d15 will be plenty. If you want to go overkill (which just happens to be my mantra when it comes to cooling) the AF 420 is a fine option. From what I hear (I can't take credit for this, just repeating what's been said around the forum) you can catch some sweet deals on Arctics ebay page as well. Their b-stock AIOs carry full warranties.

Yeah I have the ID-Cooling SE-226-XT cooler that cost 30usd, peak CPU temp during gaming is 70C with room temp at 30C.

Cinebench with 120W TDP enforced (27k CB23 score, stock is 30k score), CPU temp is only around 75C.

so if i disable Multi core enhancement and make sure 13700KF does not go over 255W Noctua NH-D15 gonna handle it?

Yeah NH-D15 will handle 13700K just fine, there is no difference when you play game, and in heavy CPU workload will just show 1-2% difference against 360mm AIO
