@Ferrum Master in the ADATA review thread mentioning something about SX8200 overheat or something like that. Would you recommend SX8200 1TB over 970 Evo?
It depends on your usage scenario. And most importantly, case airflow and temperature. I am not with W1z on this one, that it leads normal operation in real life, as in real life those things are packed tight on hot motherboard where even more hot GPU exhausts it's air, not in enthusiast open stand fast few day benchmark session, then doing a burst operation like steam game install, it approaches dangerously to manufacturer maximum temperature specs... well it will survive, but how it will end up on the semiconductor longevity after a year or two, you tell me, I won't take the risk. It is memory, so the data is valuable, not the device itself really, cannot recommend to risk if it used for client business, for me I don't care.
I have to keep in mind your usage pattern as a pro user and the drive will reside in a PC desktop, not some sort of laptop or small media center device where different goals and values matter.
The 760P is unusual, I do not recommend really for your main horse. It is designed to be a storage for rarely used data, if you understand that, it is your drive. 970 EVO is actually the the most risk free stuff you can get for an OS drive currently. I like them also because of the warranty support, they are popular, so it if something happens replacement process is fast as they are stocked near. I've only seen them dead because of PSU's/lightening strikes thou.
It depends on the price margin really. Just keep in mind the NAND type really, that's the thing that matters.
