Henlo everybody,

I cannot seem to find any info about the IHS of the non-K i7-9700, so my question is whether it's soldered like the i7-9700K or glued like the smaller CPUs? If it's glued, is it worth delidding? It won't be overclocked, so I think not, but I'd like to know your opinions.

Thanks!

If you are not running into thermal issues, I wouldn't think too long on this.

Also, if you are having thermal issues, its likely addressable with less abusive means..... more efficient cooler, better case airflow, lowering the voltage of the CPU...etc.

I don't have it yet, it'll be delivered tomorrow hopefully. I've used an overclocked i7-6700K with my cooler before without any termal issues, so i don't think I should have any with this CPU either. We'll see.

I would assume its soldered.
I would too, yet there's no info about it. Or I just suck at using Google. :)

not sure which HSF you are talking about (the one with your ryzen 3600 or another one) but if it can handle the 6700k then you have nothing to worry about.
