I know intel says this board is not compatible with server 2003...

That a load of crap...

Other boards with the same hardware and same chipset work fine..

This sucker blue screens on install in IDE/ AHCI/ and RAID enabled.
I disabled onboard audio, serial, firewire...

No go... Anyone have any suggestions, this stupid machine has to be out Friday morning....

install the OS on another machine with similar specs, then move the HD over.

Unless you are using a SATA optical drive then that's your problem right there.

Closet thing I have is a few Dell 1900's with dual Xeon boards... Needless to say not even near close. :(

yah but is your optical drive you are using to install windows an SATA ? If it is then windows can't read off from it and need to use IDE DVD/CD rom.

It reads it fine, and no its actually a ide drive.. It can read the hard drives too..

I personally think Intel put an intentional block somewhere in their bios...

well there's your other solution... update the bios. I had a lil problem with one of the intel mobo with built in VGA G33 chipset. Where the display will not go higher than 640 x 480 and would not go into the bios... it would just show the display mode is not supported bla bla (Dell 19" LCD) so i updated the bios to the latest and bam everything was working.

Go figure... I test it on 2 boards with different ram and hard drives, tried to install on another machine and swap computers didn't work...

Finally I'm at a last chance and slipstream sp2 into the disk and burn a new disc, installs all the way boom bang bada...

Gotta love the stupid things you encounter, an all day project over an outdated disc...
