I have a Dell Laptop with i7-1185G7 and I am having problems with newer Intel Graphics drivers.

Before I had version 32.0.101.5768, A18 but after I updated it to 32.0.101.6556, A19 (from Dell's website), whenever I open a game that is not running at my native resolution ( 1920 x 1080 ), my screen goes black. Then I have to lock the laptop and open it again to fix it, but it goes black again if I change my window to the game.

I tried other drivers as well but the problem persists. Only 32.0.101.5768, A18 seems to be working fine.

Any solutions?

Update: I fixed the issue. I used DDU to uninstall my GPU drivers, and installed the latest version again (32.0.101.6556, A19). The screen doesn't go black now. If the problem comes back, I'll switch back to the old drivers, but for now, its working.

Nevermind, its happening again. I rolled back to the old drivers. No idea why this is happening with newer drivers, any help would be much appreciated.

Now Windows keeps updating my graphics driver to the latest version. What do I do?

That I do not know.

I assume you'd be back to square one with the forced windows driver updates.

With that said. If the installation of windows that you are currently running is a few years old then it's probably worth trying a fresh reinstall.

Oh ok. I don't know how but the Graphic drivers got rolled back to the previous version, even though Windows Update says it installed the new version. So I'll just leave it be for now. If something goes wrong again I'll reinstall Windows

Thank you
