There are some decent motherboards manufactured by Intel out there, but do they offer any overclocking options?

bios-wise idk, chipset wise, the boards will do decent based on the chipset.

Yes BIOS wise. I wouldn't buy two motherboards and try soldering the chipset off one an onto another

I've seen it done.

Well are the boards BIOS overclockable or no??

I feel like hacking the BIOS on my old HP computer sitting here for some reason, but it's an asus board I think

G'day Hat,
You will probably see a price drop on the d975xbx2(badaxe2) as the x38 based badaxe 3 is so close the hair on the back of my neck is standing up...ps i run 3.8 on air e6600 for benches...so yeah they oc okay
edit:yeah the badaxes are intels flagship oc boards..so the bios supports oc..they even have windows oc utilities like the taiwanese (asus, abit, gigabyte) oc boards do...come to the darkside...we have cookies.
edit: oh and the power components on the board(put there by the same engineers that designed the proccy and chipset...they tend to be of better quality than the competition) i find i dont need as much voltage for my clocks as others
