Is my 3060 weird? No matching Vbios available

So, I have an MSI 3060 Ventus 2X that has no corresponding vbios in the VGA bios collection here.

Device ID is 10DE 2487, of which there is no vbios entry, even though the subsystem string 1462 397D does on some entries. Any idea what would cause this?

Why does it matter? The BIOS on it is the one it’s meant to have There’s no “better“ one….BIOS versions can change throughout a products life, that doesn’t mean there‘s anything wrong or different about yours. . GPU BIOS aren’t an “update” like a motherboard or driver….

Yes, your 3060 is weird, because it has a GA104 processor! Normal RTX 3060 cards have GA106. The GA104 is a bigger die used on the 3060 Ti and the 3070, so I suppose your specific model uses a harvested part cut down to meet the RTX 3060's specification.

It will need a BIOS that was designed for GA104-based 3060's, the only one I could find matching your card was the unverified upload that Ware posted just above my post. Good luck, and remember to make a backup before you flash.

Could this be one of the chinese cards hacked to use a laptop GPU?

Seems unlikely - TPU database has a full list of AIB's making these.

It uses the GA104-150-A1 die, which is actually the lowest number of shaders enabled for any version of the GA104, including mobile.
