I have an Asrock H55M LM MB and a i7 870 cpu, standard is 2.93 ghz and bclk 133, i had it at 154 where multiplier with one core is 27, 2 cores 26, and 3/4 core it was 24, default is is 22.
When i try superpi i use to get over 4000mhz (meaning that my pc use one core) but now my multiplier is 24 so i am using 3 or 4 core and i never se it go up to max 27 (now it's only at 1600mhz,ram, and oc mode is set to optimized, verry close to std non oc'ed)
How am i gonna test if my turbo is working? Using 1 or 2 threads in ibt still give me a multiplier of 24.
With hyper threading on i get 0.1 more in WEI, but it helps diasable hyper threading when i can't boote,my pc freezes or i get bsod. On or off ?
I want to take ibt at maximum, not possible with bclk at 154, but it's fine at standard x 10.Most a pc be able to finish ibt at maximum x 10 (about 1hour) to be stable?
I have had it at some point at 1.400volt and read a lynnfield oc guide http://www.techreaction.net/2010/09/07/3-step-overclocking-guide-lynnfield/
Know on a p55 mb it's posible to get my cpu over 4.0 ghz but not on a mb like mine (Asrock H55M LE)
Superpi 1m is now just over 13 sec (13.158) had it at 3.8ghz (turbo of) and 11.000 sec in superpi 1m as my best result, but i can't pass ibt at maximum x3, get bsod or my pc freezes
What am i gonna do i don't want to use my pc as std, i want to oc my cpu and pass ibt on maximum x 10(it dos that std and with oc mode set to optimized).
