Hello guy's,

So I have a issue when I want to take my computer off to be cleaned, I put everything back in and it turns on but no screen so I take it back out, reinsert the graphics card, no display still. I finally do the CMOS battery take out, wait 10s and still no display. I even changed output with monitor to the 2 hdmi output. I just let over night with power off and unplugged with switch off and today it displays. WTH

Static electricity build up is a possibility.....when you unplugged the system overnight, the static charge would have drained....and the psu would have reset itself...
another possibility is bios reset completed properly...you would have to take out the cmos battery at least for 30s to a minute...

did you check the date and time? are they correct?.....

Perhaps the issue is actually your monitor?

If by "no display" you mean your monitor stays in some sort of power saving state, try unplugging the power from the monitor and plugging it back in when you turn the computer on. Or better yet temporary swap out the monitor if you have another one around just to test if the issue persists with it.

@rk3066 How's it working for you now?
Now fine. IDK why my computer does this. Not the PSU though as mentioned I didn't unplug the 24-4 pin ha but if it were to happened again I'll post here. Just odd when I go to clean my pc this just tends to happen. I let it sit over night unplugged and boom it boots as I awake at 4

Next time it does this turn it off at the power switch and hold down the power button for several seconds. It should boot properly after that rather than forcing you to wait for several hours.

I've seen this with specific graphics cards in multiple machines. My suspicions are that there's some kind of fault or power-save bug in the GPUs vBIOS that doesn't play well with certain standby states. I've ruled out half a dozen motherboards and the two cards in question were just a bit weird no matter what motherboard/display they were plugged into.

Zotac 2060S and Nvidia 2060FE were the two cards in question, not that it seems to be a widespread issue with either of those two cards....

My card is a EVGA 750Ti and I don't use stand by its on all the time. I did hold down the power button as well. It's so odd right?

Holding down the power button alone does nothing when it's crashed pre vBIOS startup; You need to turn off the mains power and hold down the power button whilst the system is unpowered.

It's to do with the fact that the ATX standard delivers power to the board at all times (even when the PC is off) unless you turn it off at the mains socket. Certain things related to standby function and low-level firmware are still in use even when the PC has been shut down and seems to be dead.

I did unplug it to and still nothing but no display. Next time I'll unplug the main 24-pin and see if it works but if not I'll just wait till the next day as Normal - Ha
