Issues Restoring BIOS on RX 570 / how to avoid the ati clock patcher?

Hi everyone,

I have 6 RX 570 cards that I stopped using for mining less than 2 years ago. At the time, I had modified their BIOS and saved the original versions. Unfortunately, I lost the drive where those original BIOS files were stored.

Now I'm trying to flash them back to stock or working BIOS, but I'm running into issues. One card seems to be working correctly: it performs well in FurMark and shows normal behavior, although GPU-Z shows 0 clocks and no temperature — which I assume is due to a BIOS validation mismatch.

The other cards either:

Show incorrect voltage/clocks

Are not recognized by the drivers at all

To recover the BIOS, I downloaded matching ones from TechPowerUp, using the device ID and matching memory type of each card. Should i just keep trying other same model bios from the databse?

I’ve tried using ATIPatcher without much success, and I’m currently flashing the cards using HiveOS.

Any idea what I’m doing wrong or how to properly restore these cards?

Thanks in advance!

im contacting shappire support since i could not find my exact bios on the database, prob the error comes from the mismatch ID's

Without having information about the cards (brand, part number etc), we can't help.
Make pictures of the PCB's and share it with us.

going to focus on this card first.

rx 570 pulse 8 GB , i just rechecked all bios on techpowerup and there is no match with this exact pn : 299-5e353-110SA .
dont have the SN i should open the backplate to check it

i used a e353 bios from the base, card worked ok but had that problem where clocks where shown as 0 and no temp sensor , perfomance wise was allright.

im guessing is something from a mismatch , i contacted shappire asking for that bios. ive seen ppl online asking for this exact same bios based on the PN, seems that there are no matchs on techs database

First find out which memory brand and part number before flashing a bios.
The cooler shows it is a 4GB card and you are talking about a 8GB card.
Also check if E353 is listed on the PCB as well.

sorry i uploaded the wrong pic! . im going to whait till shappire response. i had that in mind when searching the bios IIRC it was samsugn chip, also shappire bios of this card (8gb one) has micron hynx and samsung profiles all in the same bios so i guess its compatible with all 3 of them. still i remember it was samsung chip . i guess im not using an incompatible bios since the card perfomance is good . but i cant find the exact PN as my card on techpowerup. meanwhile im going to try with other cards , thanks for the response

After contacting Sapphire China about my RX 570 Pulse 8GB, they informed me that they do not store BIOS files and also stated that my card is not from their market. However, Sapphire USA told me that the card is a China-market card and referred me to China customer support—essentially passing me back and forth without a resolution.

My card’s part number ends in SA, which I assume might stand for South America.

I’m trying to find someone who has the correct BIOS for my card. I've already tried all the E353 BIOSes for 8GB Sapphire cards available on TechPowerUp, but none of them work.

The card details are:
RX 570 8GB PULSE
Part Number (PN): 299-E353-W30SA

If anyone has a dump of the correct BIOS for this exact model, I’d greatly appreciate it.

We can't help you if you don't remove the cooler. Sapphire Part Number does not tell which memory is on the PCB at all!

allright , i might just try them all since i have a bios switch in the card, or just open it and check it. thanks !

Do both bioses work? I would rather do a check first and then flash a matching bios after a repaste.

both bios were working. if i recall i moded both so no original bios . trying other bios today briked the 1st slot (prob memory mismatch) but i think i managed to reflash it with hiveos(have not tested it yet on windows to see if 1st bios is working. i might just open it and check mem to narrow it to fewer bioses
