Issues with CS 1.6 and DoD.

When I run either of the two programs (Counterstrike 1.6 or Day of Defeat) the initial menu will be the correct colors, but then after about 5 seconds it will turn a multitude of different dense stripes of colors... I thought it may only be the menu but when I went in game, it seemed as everything was coated with the atrocious colored stripes. Could possibly be a video card issue, I have the new 8800GTX and I tried turning all the filtering and things off and running it, but no luck.
 
Dunno , but i have a simular quirk ,in UT2004 every once in a while I get parts of the image just disapear and like I can see the other shooters standing behind what use to be a wall or rock or cliff or what ever,some times parts of the layers of the graphics disapear and I can see a brand name on for a lack of better term building blocks that are under the top most layer of graphics, never relly tried to resolve it as I hardly every play it.
 
heh, I used to play the games on my old PC with an older card and it worked fine, now with this super one I have issues lol
 
Drivers.... Im pretty sure it is. They are not compatible with CS:S yet...
 
also, what is the temps on your card..might be getting hot when running 3d applications.
 
Temps are fine, and It isn't source its plain old 1.6 heh could try drivers anyway

This happend to me it was weird but i never found out the problem one day i turned it on and it was fine again , sorry for being no help at all. :ohwell:
