Itunes Help Please

hi guys,
ive got a folder on my pc with about 120gigs of music in itunes format in the highest quality (320bit rate)
i want change the folder int o 128bit rate to make it smaller so i can backup onto smaller hard drive but i dont know how to change this.
i know when u start itunes up u can change the setting so that when u import music into itunes it turns it into 128bit but thats not what i want to do i just want to copy it onto my smaller hard drive and run the music from there through itunes.

Change the location of your iTunes folder to your other hard drive in the advanced settings, and also put the import bitrate at 128kbps. Then view all of your music, press ctrl-A and right click a file and hit convert to AAC.

Gonna take some time though, think of many hours depending on your system and if Itunes is multithreaded, I have my doubts about that last thing.

Actually, iTunes does do multithreading. Fairly versatile encoder.

if i do what u said and press control + a and convert it works but im left with 2 of everything so i have to then delete the 320bit and keep the 128bit 1 by 1. is there a way of deleting all the 320bit ones in one go ?

Delete the old itunes folder?

Or you could also arrange the files by bitrate, and just select all of the 128.
