just ordered new power supply for core 2 duo and 2gb ddr2 ram its a:

600watt Power EconOmizer and has :

+12v - 14a
+12v - 13a
+5v - 10a
+3.3v - 14a

whataya think?

I think it looks pretty good for your system. The 12v rails are a little on the low side for a modern PSU. I have no experience with that brand though. Do you have a link?

How much did you pay for that? Do you have a link? It work in the system you currently have in your specs but for a core 2 duo machine your kinda pushing it. I would consider getting a more quality powersupply with a lot more amps or more rails.

got email says item no longer available order has been canceled so never mind.

Yea that cant be right. Using Ohm's law: W = V * I; where W is watts, V is voltage, and I is amperage.

That adds up to about 420 watts.

shoulda known $10 free s&h something was fishy

i think it has 600W peak, and 400w stable power. for 600w PSU u should get atleast 30-40amps on the 12v rail. I recommend u invest in quality PSU. as a shamless advert Be quiet! is quite cheap
and has alot of power behind it. 24A on rail 1 and 18a on rail 2 on a 450w psu + system fan control, and nice sleeves on all cables + sum accessories like zip ties and some other ties.
