Hello, I have been searching for a way to keep a certain application running at the max CPU frequency without throttling down because the load is not enough. Something similar to Nvidia's options where you can select certain application profiles to "Prefer Maximum Performance". Don't really want to have to mess with Windows power profiles every time.

Trying to keep my 4790K at 4.4GHz for certain applications despite load. I know its probably a repost but I've looked everywhere and just can't seem to find what I'm looking for. Thanks

I'm not sure why anyone would want to do this. If the application isn't loading the CPU, raising the clock speed isn't going to add any extra performance.

ehh that doesn't help...

Quick and dirty you could just adjust the Power Plan and set Minimum Processor state to 100%

Disable speedstep or use manual voltage?

I think I just found exactly what I'm looking for in Process Lasso. A setting named "Application Power Profile"

It kind of does. There's really no point in what you're trying to do.
Variable clocks are one of the fundamental features of modern CPUs. Why throw it away?
You think you know better than Intel/AMD engineers?

i've a direct access to Power Options in my task bar, and like to switch between High Perf and Balanced.

You think I'm the only person ever that wanted to do this? Is that why its found in Process Lasso? Is that why Windows has the options to switch between power profiles?
I asked for a solution to a very particular question. Not the most basic general PC advice.
