My sisters computer has an issue I have never seen before.

The mouse always works until you try to type something, and then the keyboard and mouse quit working. The computer itself is not frozen. Sometimes the computer has to be restarted 5+ times to get it to work right.

Do you think it is an issue with the keyboard, or the ps/2 ports? I could not find a virus.

It has a cheap Lite-on keyboard and Roswill mouse.

Try with other set key and mouse. If you have some Linux live disk run it and see how the key and mouse would behave. Mouse could freeze if there is some conflict on the PCI devices. But this is more common on older mobos and OS.

looks like the keyboard freezes in the bios...

apparently it is Adobe Photoshop!

Is it? I've never heard of that. Glad you got it fixed!
