What type of motherboard do i need to get the front panel and the lights to work? What types of contacts can the front panel be needed? I am new to new motherboard and cases, i only have one "newer" computer. A Dell T3500 from 2010. Can i place the psu higher as it used to be on old cases?

Any board with aRGB.

Im not sure what you mean, but if you’re referring to the front I/O than most every board will have headers for the included cables.

Nope, only on the bottom.

Do you know what year aRGB was on the most motherboard? 2017? Can boards from 2012 or 2014 work. Seems like this case is RGB and not aRGB. So maybe older boards will do?

I guess this board is to old? I like the design. I am new to newer motherboards. I only got a Dell T3500. What is the fan besides the cpu for? https://www.asrock.com/mb/AMD/890FX Deluxe3/index.asp

I don’t really know when aRGB became standard but probably around then

No, most older boards, including all of the ones you linked, won’t work. The case’s front fascia will still work using the reset button and its presets but the included fan won’t. You can get a controller, though.

Thanks, i guess the front lights can't work with these boards either? Are there any adapter that can do the work. I know you can rewire but it seems complicated.

I believe so but honestly aRGB is not my bag, don’t know anything about the power limits and other technicalities

I have understand that Intel 6000 series and Amd ryzen only got support for Windows 10 and 11. I really like Windows Vista Ultimate to and wish it could be upgraded so it could be used again. I want both Vista and Windows 10. I guess it can be hard to find newer motherboards with RGB and that supports processors that can handle older Windows to?

You probably want to start a new thread for that. There’s a popular thread here about windows 7 with modern components and the hacks and limitations you face, but vista is probably pushing it.

Found that this ASRock Z590 OC Formula motherboard has an OLED display that shows fan speed etc. Is this motherboard something to recommend? It is specially made for overclocking. https://www.asrock.com/mb/Intel/Z590 OC Formula/index.html#Overview I do not play games. It only have RGB on the board and i guess it suits to Kolink? Many other chassis require aRGB, does it work with an adapter if i buy a aRGB chassi? Are there more motherboards with a display on the motherboard? The design is quite unique. Also noticed some ASRock have gears with a small band on the motherboard, are they for the design? The board support 10/11th generation Intel but not Xeon? https://www.asrock.com/mb/AMD/B550 Taichi/ i am new to this with so-called gaming motherboards but i like the design and a beautiful computer in front of the TV is not so stupid. Read to the formula description: The CPU Fan Connector supports the CPU fan of maximum 1A (12W) fan power. Seems low? Have 18w in an older computer. I guess i then must look for a cpu fan that has 12W at max?

It is a nice design, the display is on the formula. Do you know of any heatsinks that are suited for overclocking that suits? And the most suited memorys?

This kolink chassi seems to have argb but on amazon it stand as rgb, and this asrock board only have rgb, what kind of adapter do i need? The kolink support ATX and ITX but i guess a EATX should fit? The Asrock EATX Form Factor: 12.0-in x 10.5-in, 30.48 x 26.67 cm and the kolink Dimensions: 31,3cm and 26cm. 0,67mm should go. Only to hope the Asrock is a little smaller

It's still there , closed and locked though.

You need to know the dimensions of both to be sure.

If the measurements are right to the card it is only 2,6mm difference to the right to motherboard. There is a aluminum plate that can be cut of a little if it can't suit in, Lucky. The kolink is 26.4cm and the Asrock should be 26.66cm.

I got it today and i had to remove a small plate in the Kolink to make it suit. Which is the cheapest K processor to buy for this Asrock board?
