Some of you have might seen, i am planning to build a 2 in 1 case pc and for that project. I am intending to only use one monitor and one keyboard/mouse.

So do any of you know a good kvm switch that support at least one monitor at 1440P and 120 Hz (dual monitor support, would be nice to have. Cause you never know down the road i if would be going dual monitor setup) via HDMI 2.0 or display port. This is importent as i will be gaming throw that switch as well. If 4K 120 hz is possible, that would be even better.

What are other people´s exsperience with gaming throw a kvm switch. Is it input lag nightmare or fine for that perpose.

I am totally blank on kvm switch. So i have little to none knowlegde of these switches. So if people know and can tell about things i shut be aware of, specially when it comes to gaming as i fear latency/inputlag might be a problem.

If some one has another solution, i am also open for other ideas.

You should be ok. We had a guy on another forum who had some crazy issues crop up using a kvm with dual monitors of different rez's and mixing outputs, hdmi and display port and it was wonky. Heres the link if you want to read the full details, it was a doozy! https://forums.evga.com/HDMI-not-working-right-GTX-1080-FE-m3050922.aspx

I can only imagine problems with different out puts and resolutions. I will be using the same out puts and resolution, if i go dual monitor in the future.
But i seek what to use and do. Not others problems.

Or just throw in an USB hub for $40 and switch inputs on display.

Or...

You are on to someting about a USB hub just for keyboard and mouse and its a lot cheaper. It´s just switch input on screen it self can be a pain if buttoms is on the back of the monitor. but i will deffently look in to this solution as well. But it will depend on what monitor i chose.
