I need help on lapping my HSF. I have an X800 XL with a Zalman VF700-Cu. I'm going to remove the HSF in a little bit and replace the TIM with AS5 I recently bought. I don't fell that the HSF is well finished so I wanted to know if any of you can help me with lapping or if you've seen any good articles on lapping.
Thanks,
Azn

well there is a lapping article in the articles section..u should be able to find that no problem. just start with like 600-800grit then jump to 1200grit while rotating the part being lapped 90 degrees. then up to 1600-2000grit and rotate again. you should move up in grit when you can only see lines in one direction...
