Ok because I've had nothing but gaming desktops all my life I have to ask this question, Are Laptops upgradeable. For instance I have a Toshiba P305D. It' has an AMD Turion 64 x2 mobile technology tl-62 2.10 ghz processer. 2 GB Ram,32 bit operating system. It's a Satellite in case you were wondering. Obviousely I'll play my games on my beefed up desktop now but was just wondering. I have a Quasmio I just bought but really wished I hadn't of bought it since I'm never on it. It's not considered a gaming computer like I was told it was either.

You might be able to install a faster (Turion?) processor but that is usually the limit to a laptop upgrade. More ram can help as well as a better performing hard drive.

its an X1250 intergrated, you could probably only play like old valve games, just need consider messing with the settings and getting more ram can help too,but if you want play games like crysis or left 4 dead then i would consider buying a desktop/build one or use your desktop if you got one

most laptops with integrated graphics will not be up grade able and the more u upgrade the harder the doling will have to work and it might not be good enough

Usually you can't upgrade laptops except RAM and HDD. Sometimes you can update the CPU but thats risky if the motherboard and heatsinks etc dont support it.

Or a SSD if you can afford one.

Laptops can be upgradeable but I am not sure about the one you have. If you are really looking forward to have a gaming laptop then certainly you can have a look at Alienware. Alienware is a little bit costly brand but refurbished gaming laptops option is always available and you can choose laptop parts according to your needs as well.

only a few laptop that allows you to change parts i think lenovo allows you to change parts depending on the laptop..but i think your laptop could probably play games at low resolution maybe 1024x768 at low settings but if you want a laptop to play games very well then buy the dell studio 15inch for $800
it has ati 4570 which is pretty powerful.

I don't know about the Toshiba laptops, but I just finished upgrading the wife's laptop; it is a HP.
It takes good eyesight ( I had to use a magnifing glass for some stuff - like the ribbon connectors).

I put in a Turion 64 x2 mobile TL-62 to replace the TL-58, 4 gigs ram to replace the 2, WD 250 Scorpio Black 7200rpm HD to replace the little 5400 Hitachi, Wireless N card to replace the G, and installed Windows Vista 64 to replace XP 32.

Took a little while, ain't like a desktop. On her HP, I had to take it completely apart to replace the CPU. Patience, lots of breaks, coffee, more coffee, smokes, and good tools. Did not run any benchmarks, but it boots quicker, runs her stuff faster, and she is happy. The only thing is the video(it is intergrated) can't be change, but she don't do games, except for mahjong, blackjack, poker and such. And, battery run time seems a little less, not much.

It was a fun learning experience.:)
