I'm in that noman's land period of the year where I consider buying new fans/case/tinkering with mine - and for no real good reason.
I took a gander at the Lancool 217 which seems like one of the best cases of the year, does anybody have it yet? I have a few question like
1) how much do the hd cages actually impede airflow to the gpu? The thermals seems great from the reviews but as far as I am able to see nobody tested it with actual sata drives installed
2) how much space there is behind the mobo tray? I'm thinking about 3dprinting a 3.5" bay and screwing it to the 2x2.5" slots behind the mobo (see point 1) but don't know if the cable space is deep enough
( open to everybody question)
3) I really hate wood in pc cases, or at least, I hate "wood color" wood. I wouldn't mind black tinted wood ( to clarify, something like this : https://images.rawpixel.com/image_s...g4LTRmMTgtYTgzMC04MjZkZWZhMjdhZWFfMS5qcGc.jpg ) , how hard would it be to repaint it? Would I need to strip the transparent paint off first ?
probably some other questions will come to mind eventually...
