People who have been using the ps3 controller with libusb win32 and ps3sixaxis_en, might run into some trouble..
I ran into another post from a user on vista who had his usb drives go insane.
I am on Xp and have had the same problem 3 times now when trying to use it..
It starts off fine then it just suddenly killed my mic and my controller.
controller veered up and my mic got major static feedback.
So I reformatted.. again..
Because even after removing all of the files, even worse things happened..
ethernet and usb driver conflcts that would not be resolved with my knowledge of device manager, uninstalling and reinstalling, removing, rolling back, etc etc..
I'm no big time guru but I can see my way around fairly decent.
I will verify these conflicts if my system doesn't have this issue now.
I won't be reinstalling that software package again.
Will let you know how it turns out..
Anyway.. Now I have a microsoft xbox 360 controller..
You win Gates..
dam you...lol..
EDIT: I'm starting to think it was solely the south bridge failing that was causing the issues..
curious how the xbox controller and the mouse usb both work perfectly, but the usb headset is shot.
just sounds horrible..
people can't understand me anymore.
wish I knew more about programming and what not..
I'd look into those files and see if anything in there is even capable of causing hardware failure.
sorry I can't give anything definitive right now for an answer..
I'm getting a 750i mobo.
On the 750i, I will reinstall libusb win 32 and ps3 sixaxis_en..
if it happens again..
hell who knows..
the 750i has some issues as well..
would be nice if hardware actually worked correctly now a days..
it's all junk.
regardless one thing I know for certain now..
the ps3 controller is sooo much better than the xbox controller
the sensitivity is not even comparable.
ps3 is just so much more sensitive and responsive to small movements.
hands down, no question in my book..
ps3 controller is better.
