Local area connection doesn't have a valid IP configuration

So after moving about 70GB to my Windows Home Server 2011 computer, my desktop is no longer able to connect to the internet and is giving a "Local area connection doesn't have a valid IP configuration" error.

I have tried:
Resetting my router/modem/switch
restarting my computer
reinstalling NIC drivers
Resetting TCP/IP using "netsh int ip reset c:\resetlog.txt"
Changing the ipv4 settings thing

Computer Specs:
mobo : Gigabyte G.1 Guerrilla
NIC: Killer E2100 (that's the on-board one)
OS: Windows 7 64bit
Modem: Thomson DCM476
Router: Linksys EA6500
Switch: Tendnet teg-s80g

Turns out port 3 on my router doesn't work
 
time to replace it, because if 1 ethernet port goes out most likely the others will
 
Damn, it was 5 days out of warranty too :(
 
They make better ones. I have a WPN824 from them still kicking.
