Looking for a case where the motherboard lays flat and that's cube like for an atx board. I want to move away from matx for now cause I need pcie slots.

You guys know better than me.

You might want to search for "HTPC Cases". I don't think you will find a lot of choices though.

I'm using a TT level 20 vt its similar to the lan box just has glass. I use mine with no side panels just top glass lid. SO its like a semi test bench.

The Cooler Master HAF XB Evo might be what you're looking for.
I dont think its sold anymore, im looking. I like that case windows would be nice.

There's some people selling it on eBay which you might have to settle for because a cube form factor with ATX is a rare combo these days.

It was always rare for ATX.

Is the cube look important or would basically a normal case laying down be fine? The Silverstone GD08 is basically that.

for me easier to work with flat cases and gpu reasons. I dont mind a normal case on side I could use rubber feet.

but the compactness/compartments of the cube style is preferable

HAF XB Evo (hard to find nowadays) seems like best fit. If you don't mind the open-ended look, I have one and recommend:

In that case (no pun intended), the Cooler Master QUBE 500 might work for you as it's designed to be used flat as well as a tower.

edit: Either that or some sort of HTPC case like the Silverstone GD09B.

Down the road when I get some money. $180

The cube 500 is nice but psu jammed in there. I know there are many ways to use that case too still. I think this could be a winner.

the silverstone would look like doing surgery on a receiver in my room the way I use cases.

EDIT nvm... just read re: the PCIE slots.

That HAF XB Evo looks pretty damn interesting but unluckily EOL and those used ones seem to be on the pricier side. :/

You could always take a core p chassis and lay it on its back. My OG P5 has rubber feet you could screw on.
