This is what I'm using for so many years. I use it for gaming. It's membrane, low profile chiclet keys.

I like low profile just like this ^^^,maybe even lighted too

Any recommendations ?

"Scissor" key? Never heard of them referred to that way. Usually they're called tactile keys. Might make your searching easier.

Newegg with search by switch type...http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Description=scissor keyboard&Submit=ENE

as for one I recommend, I have only used my Lenovo laptop keyboards, and while I can appreciate the feel, I haven't used any in standalone form.

Yeah Lenovo has them. I use one now on the laptop too, their AccuKeyboard (the good one, not the cheap one).

Natr0n, me and U buddy, I don't like huge, bulky keys as well. Mechanical keyboards will never appeal to me, if they don't make them really flat. But that keyboard, you pictured looks like 3/4 height, not exactly low profile keys. May be it's optical illusion, I don't know. Keep looking, A4tech has some options if you have access to them like KD-800L - backlit, or KV-300H, etc. Look up their official website. I'd say get Lenovo if U can. I wouldn't really recommend Logitech here. I've tried some of their most expensive keyboards, and while they DO have LP keys, the feel is just horrible. Personal preference of course, but I don't think it's ok to pay 140+ bucks and get what you get from them as a keyboard. Mice are phenomal though.

The board I have now the keys are low profile with a bevel edge. Yes,it is an illusion keys are just a few mm high. A4tech is hard to get in US it seems. Back in the day they were all over.Had a mouse lasted for years from them..

I'm looking at this currently.
