Just curious, since MBR2GPT seems to be the way if you want to change your partition without reinstalling Windows, do we have members here who have done it and can speak of the experience?

I tried it but couldn't get it working. Guessing that you're trying to enable SAM and need to disable CSM, which in turn requires running Windows in UEFI mode and can only be done with a GPT drive installation? All that important stuff that AMD conveniently forgot to mention?

Yeah in the end I just got fed up and went with the good old fashioned wipe and reinstall of Windows.

I see. Windows 10 predates SAM, what can you do?

Just gave MBR2GPT a try, worked fine. Seemed pretty simple, I imagine as long as you don't lose power it's pretty safe too.

Windows boots a fraction faster, but otherwise not much noticeable difference.

Yes done it for work on many older Laptops: "MBR2GPT /convert /allowfullos" if you want to run it in Windows in a Admin CMD window.

I used it a couple of times myself and yes it works fine no issues to report.
