Anyone know a program that can read these DDR5 SPD memory profile dumps?

I started collecting them, but besides using a Gigabyte motherboard to flash the ram to the saved XMP profile, I cannot find way to read it on the computer. Hex reader and Rom reader doesn't work for me.

It would be cool to view the file on the computer and edit instead of the using the motherboard to do it. These profiles show up as XMP4 / 5 and can be see by ASRock and MSI motherboards. ASUS and EVGA doesn't see the extra profiles.

Does typhoon burner not support ddr5 yet? Maybe @sneekypeet knows

Try AIDA64 or hwinfo64. Pm me if you need "help installing" the full version.

I use OCTool, for DDR5 modules. https://www.dropbox.com/s/igzqncls06mrb75/OCTool_ADL0115.zip?dl=0

Open Tool, Extract, and I save tool to desktop. When you have the option click [Read From Target] to read modules.

Have yet to try the latest update. They do show DDR5 spec additions, so it may. I just started pulling spreaders because it took so long.

Just grabbed the latest, and the readme says it will work, but you have to jigger some settings to make it run on 11 and set a bios feature to work with DDR5.

Thanks, I gave the tool a go. Doesn't read the files I saved from the Gigabyte Motherboard, but it does read whatever DIMMs I have installed. Haven't tried to write to them yet. Need to find some ram I don't care about first to experiment with.

The only complaint I have really is the text goes over the check boxes or is completely cut off. Can't easily read all the settings.

If you only want to read the module SPD data,.. RAMMon does have a cleaner display, allows Export/Copy. https://www.passmark.com/products/rammon/

@Braegnok

I finally got around to flashing. Works alright. Not sure why the values are off by one (should be 38-48-84-117). Still beats typing in the values every time.

ddr4 spd write and spd read editor ? export file application ?

Gui: my pc Not supported message ?
Hmm I did read that it only works on Asus Apex, but never tired another. There is another thread about DDR4 and a different program.

sorry for reviving this old thread but is this octool still working? i get error when running this tool. Also are there any other tools for dumping spd info? I am looking for a spd info dump to check if the xmp is enabled both for ddr4 and ddr5. I know that i can check it in cpu-z but i am looking for a programatical way to do it. Thanks

Still works. Only ever worked on ASUS Intel Apex motherboards for me.

Typhoon Burner works on DDR5, but disable SPD write in bios.

Does it? The reports I've heard seem it's 50/50 whether it will work or blank your SPD. It also blanked my SPD on at least one ram set when I first went ddr5.

I guess that's technically working that it works sometimes but seems pretty high risk.

I dunno. Does any software work on every single system ever built??

No but it should work on the vast majority of them with little to no brick risk before I'm comfortable using it. YMMV.
Sounds like the issue was before ddr5 support was added. That was a few years ago now.

You said wiped the SPD from the RAM? Where people trying to write DDR5 profiles, or you're saying this happens simply from reading eeprom??

Do you have some links I can read about the issues to become more aware of it please? I can't seem to find anything specific about spd being wiped off when using Taiphoon Burner.

I had Taiphoon Burner wipe a DDR5 kit once just by reading it. Luckily I already had the information to recreate it with OCtool.

I know it happened to one reviewer for DDR4 and about 3 years ago now.

Won't use that program myself.

Where people trying to write DDR5 profiles,
That is the bug yes. It can read just fine (usually).

oof. I was not that unlucky, damn.

Not really unfortunately, it's all reddit rumors and personal experience. I didn't take the time to document them.

If its working for you with your config it probably will continue to do so. SPD read/write is low level shit so different boards act differently, afterall.

Ive used it over maybe 3 ddr5 boards now with only a couple of kits.

No, I do not consider reddit documented useful information either. But I can take your guys word on it because I trust you. :)
