I have one stick of 512mb pc 3200 memory in my pc now, and I just recieved a stick of 512 at pc2700. Would it be better to underclock my 3200 to 2700 and raise both cas timings or bring the 2700 up to 3200....

Thanks in advance,
Webchief

My guess is taking the 2700 to 3200, but the best solution is to try out both options and see what works best.

pc2700 vs pc3200, who do u think will win? LOL I would definitely try to OC the 2700 to 3200 speeds.

The problem is, can your stick of pc2700 handle pc3200 speeds? What is the brand? CAS? you may need to increase vdimm as well :)

Lower timings = better performance. If u bring down the pc3200 and RAISE timings, that's like underclocking twice lol

i rasie both to 3200 and seemed to work fine. the brand is crucial memory. and yes i didnt realize that i said raise the timings instead of lowering them, how dumb of me :D
