I have overclocked my e6600 to 3Ghz and my memory timings have moved upto 900mhz, which shouldnt be a problem as the ram is Crucial Ballistix Tracer PC8500, which has timings of 5-5-15

what am i doing wrong? can i lower them without affecting my overclock etc

ya you should be able to, lower them slowly though... also increase your voltage :)

ctrl f1 and manuel changed timings :D

It could be your voltage, Gigabyte boards usually are set to 1.8v for Ram and Ballistix Tracer uses 2.2v so you may need to change this up to 2.2v.

You shouldn't have a problem overclocking with that ram I have Ballistix Tracer 5300 running from 666mhz up at 916mhz without any problems whats so ever at 4-4-4-15 :)

you probably have them set to auto, just set them manually and youll probably be able to get them down to 4.4.4.12 or similar with a bit of voltage
