Memory voltage

I have been running a new set up for about a month now and I just found that my memory actually should be running at 1.9v instead of 1.8v. My motherboard apparently supports 1.8v without overlocking the voltage.

I don't plan on doing any over clocking to anything as my system is running very well for what I like to do with it.

Do I need to worry about modifying things or is my memory going to be ok running at 1.8v?

let it run@ 1.8 if you get some errors or weird behaviour set it up again

probably on the ram modules they write the default voltage.
check it and set it manually.

So you don't think that the memory will get damaged by running at the lower voltage?

Absolutely not... the data going through it is the issue as mentioned. If your system is running fine under stress, don't mess with it (unless you are feeling obsessed :) ).

No I'm just nervous that it's running at a voltage that's not recommended. I've played a couple games for close to 2 hours straight and it shows no signs of any issues. I'm very happy with my machine set up. I just saw this though and get nervous that it might screw it up.

Ironically, with experience comes a sense of joy when a part can run well at less than the rated voltage :) No worries about damaging hardware.

well that's good to know that I wont be damaging my memory if it's running fine at the lower voltage...

thanks for the replies
