Benchmark Scores I dont have time for that.
Well that's just crap. The first one certainly wasn't excellent but it had a definite feel to it that alot of other games don't.

I really liked the first game, so this is kinda sad. :(

I agree i honestly havent played through it again but i would have picked up the second just cause.

I agree, perhaps not that great of a game, but a totally different type of game, not the usual FPS or RTS or anything like that where the base is the same, this is totally different, which is refreshing sometimes. If they could have made it a better game with the same base, it would have been incredible

I agree i honestly havent played through it again but i would have picked up the second just cause.

What's Just Cause 2 got to do with it :D;) Oh well, plenty of other games that are going to rock the PC this year :pimp:

lol i was aware of what i did and hit reply anyway.

It was not the end all of end all games, but I liked it and planned to buy the second. It was different, it was challenging, it was fun.

Just goes to show you how important physx really is to the industry.

It's a shame, it was nice to get an original new game out amongst all the shooters and the original wasn't bad. So much potential, ruined by EA.

no i want more Mirror's Edge

i hope they will release what they have made not just delete the crap or something.

It'll be stored somewhere probably, but it will not be released.

I still want Alan Wake on the PC, really enjoyed it on the 360 and it would be so freaking awesome on PC :(

Damn that sucks, i enjoyed the first one.

Too bad. I really liked the first one because it reminded me of portal - you had a lot of freedom on the way you solve an obstacle.

:wtf:

WHUT!?!

Mirror's Edge is a DICE title. As in BF3 DICE. Who cancelled other BFBC2 stuff to move people over to BF3 development.

The project has been stopped - involved parties at DICE are working on something else now.

I don't know why anyone is surprised, really. Dead for now, but maybe they'll pick the IP back up during the slow period after BF3's release.

Phys-X works into this how?:shadedshu

The 1st mirror’s edge wasn’t the greatest game I’ve ever played…but it was certainly enjoyable. I like’d the running jumping climbing aspect of it. It was paced very well. However, the combat was absolute crap from what I remember. And the game was absurdly short. I would have played a second one had it been released…I kind of thought they scrapped it a while ago.

because the game had some phisx effects, which consisted of more realistic glass shatter effects, some waving flags and some leaves and dust when the helicopter was chasing you...

Dude, I own Mirror's Edge on every platform it was released on. I am a "hardcore" DICE fan, and buy all of thier products.

I played BOTH the pc and PS3 versions without Phys-X-accelerated effects.

I fail to see how Phys-X's role in the industry had any relationship to it being cancelled...it sold in low numbers, and EA wants DICE to push out BF3, with it's guaranteed high sales, ASAP. there's not much more to this than that. Phys-X is NOT what motivated them to drop it for now.

PhysX played no part in this game getting cancelled, period. That being said I am bummed as I adore Mirror's Edge. I like the look of it, the feel of it, the music, the simple storyline and just the simplicity of it all. I really hope they reconsider and make this game at some point.

Couldn't agree more. It did have some stupid moments but the running weighed it up imo. It almost felt like a philosophical statement: You just run, and dissapear into a world people do not see...

summarizes my reaction....

DAMN YOU EA !!!! DAMN YOUUUU.....

EDIT: I don't know how does this business works, but can't a games developing company produce and finance their games without relaying on "Big Fishes" like EA ?

Eh. Mirror's Edge was one of the best games i've played in the last few years. Very colorful, very different and a really enjoyable experience. I was certainly hoping for second game. And i was also hoping that some day we'll see Tomb Raider with first person view as a bonus mode once you complete the regular game. That would be awesome. But i doubt Eidos will ever doo anything like it.

well its not a game that many people will pick up and love right away or will fall for its visuals right off the back, I don't think they thought it would bring in enough cash to justify another release.

I didn't even know there was a mirrors edge 2 in development
