okay, so now that i have a SSD coming in (solved in previous thread) my concern now moves onto how to set up my drives.

i will have 1 60Gb SSD for OS and one or two programs to run on... my other HDD's are two 500Gb drives set up in RAID 0.

my question is how do i set up both of these in bios, as my bios (UEFI for 990fx Extreme 4) only allows me to set up EITHER AHCI or RAID.

SOOO how do i get my SSD in AHCI while keeping my RAID drive on the side for performance?

Raid on SATA is AHCI. So ADCI is if you dont want raid but also don't want IDE.

RAID mode in SATA exposes the same functionality that AHCI does

Okay I figured it was something like that

well now my computer is just being funky, i can't get anything to work properly.

i got win7 successfully installed on my RAID 0 setup again (was checking some different things out with another drive i had) but now win7 boots but does not allow ANY program to actually start.

ontop of that, my UEFI Bios will not start. i spam the crap out of the DEL and F2 keys but it just ignores its, posts, flashes the RAID screen briefly, reboots, still ignores UEFI commands and then loads windows 7 that does not work.... i have also tried Clear CMOS and that does not change anything either (if it did, the SATA would default to IDE and win7 would not boot) so i don't know what the hell is going on

i have a 990FX Extreme 4 ASRock board and would LOVE to be able to get into the bios... i feel like my COMPUTER is bricked lmao
